About Vision Academy Bhopal
Vision Academy is a Bhopal-based nonprofit organisation working to improve access to preventive eye care among underserved urban, rural and peri-urban communities in Madhya Pradesh.
Established in 2008
Established in 2008, the organisation combines community awareness, doorstep eye-screening camps, diabetic retinopathy screening, tele-ophthalmology, referral support, professional training and public-health research.
Our programmes are designed to identify eye disease earlier, connect patients with appropriate treatment and develop scalable models of community eye care.

To prevent avoidable blindness by bringing reliable eye screening, awareness, referral support and technology-enabled care closer to underserved communities.
A future in which every person - irrespective of income, location, gender or social background - can access timely eye screening and appropriate treatment.
What We Do
Artificial intelligence is used as a screening and triage aid. Final diagnosis and treatment decisions are made by qualified eye-care professionals.
Our Community Impact
Vision Academy has long-term work in diabetic retinopathy awareness, screening, referral and treatment support. All impact figures should be accompanied by the reporting period, unit of measurement and data source.
Clinical Referral and Treatment
Vision Academy coordinates community outreach, screening, awareness, research and patient-navigation activities.
Patients requiring hospital-based investigations, specialist consultation or treatment may be referred to Vision Care & Research Centre, Bhopal, or another appropriate healthcare provider depending on the patient's clinical and logistical requirements.
Vision Academy and Vision Care & Research Centre should be presented as distinct organisations with clearly described roles.
